Adding dark leafy greens to your smoothie can be a bit intimidating because they can have a bitter taste. That’s why I regularly make fruit smoothies like strawberry and banana or blueberry smoothies, but I knew I had to add more veggies to my diet overall so that I am getting a well balance of nutrition in my diet.
This easy healthy green smoothie recipe was inspired by my favorite Suja – mighty dozen juice, but because it can get expensive, I decided to put my own mix to that recipe and make it at home. This smoothie is delicious, tangy and naturally sweet despite the kale thanks to the banana, mango and lemon. Bonus: It can potentially help your skin naturally glow!

I have always known that green vegetables and fruits are quite healthy and should be eaten in large quantities, but I could never think of how I should eat enough. Making a tasty smoothy like this will help me for sure, so thank you a lot ! It looks good!
Hi Lizzy! Glad I could help you with a new recipe idea, it is yummy!
Thank you very much for the green smoothie recipe you included at the end of your post. I like that it’s super easy and very healthy. I really appreciate you gave it your own mix. And I went to my kitchen to check and I do have all the ingredients that are necessary. I can’t wait to try it!
That’s awesome! You’re welcome Ann!
This is a delicious smoothie recipe! I have actually tried this many times, but instead of using bananas (due to the amount of sugar they have for someone who has diabetes), I use avocado to have some extra supplemental green. This is a great recipe for anyone regardless of what their diet may be.
Thanks Stephanie! I will have to try this with avocados and supplement greens are always good to add to smoothie to get that extra boost of greens for the day.
Thanks for the recipe for the green smoothie. After trying your recipe, I can say it was absolutely beautiful. Fresh and good, and easy to make. This is a healthy and good smoothie that I will make more of. Likes how the page is set up, very easy to read through.
You’re welcome, Fredrik! I’m glad this recipe was easy to make for you and easy to read. Enjoy! 🙂
Thank you so much for this recipe!! I was looking for a healthy smoothie that included more greens as an alternative to my usual favourite banana and chocolate. This looks like the perfect fit with some veggies along with the always delicious lemon juice, mango and banana and I very much look forward to trying it!
You’re welcome! Glad I could help you find a healthy alternative smoothie. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy!
Ohhhh…..this looks good! I’m drooling right now! I love smoothies and I can’t wait to try this one. I have made them before but I love the combo of bananas and mango to the greens. Although you add kale here, I always save my greens from all my veggies (beet, carrot, etc), pop ’em into the freezer and take out what I need for my smoothie. I think I will be using more now because I didn’t realize that I could make them in advance. Thank you for posting.
Thanks Cynthia! Freezing veggies to use later is always convenient 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the recipe!
Thanks for sharing the amazing recipe
